About Havens Communications...

Havens Communications believes in helping businesses build ongoing relationships with their prospects and cutomers.

Owner and founder, Andy Havens likes to apply a dating analogy to business situations. Why?

"Because in both situations, dating and business, people react much the same way. Just as you would balk if a total stranger walked up and asked you to marry him, prospect don't want sales offers thrust in their faces."

Working from this perspective, Andy prefers to think of himself as more of a Business Relationship Coach who can also write "love letters" for clients. From there he takes the process one step further...

Because modern business operations are more than just a friendly guy running the corner barber shop, business today needs ways to connect with more people. Thus we strive to find ways to manage seemingly overwhelming numbers of prospects and customers while maintaining a personal, human touch.

About Andy Havens...

Who is this guy anyway?

To make a long story short...

Long long ago in a place far far away I graduated high school (really. I did!). I also earned an Associates degree from Alfred State College. While my education didn't stop there, the paper trial does.

From there I've worked for many a small business - most of the time in sales related positions. Lot's of times I found myself taking on various projects involving writing something or other be it ads, sales letters, proposals - you name it.

In addition, I'd be asked for my input on different aspects of people's business - from database needs to marketing to business plans. I've also advised non-profit organizations and even business coaches. And I've provided input for business folks from England to Australia,. though I daresay the Chinese haven't come knocking... yet.

One day, several years ago, I started officially started writing sales letters, press releases and other materials for local as well as international businesses. For a while I stopped pursuing clients so I could try my hand at marketing my own products. While I enjoyed some success, I discovered I do better when working for a boss (my clients) and am again pursuing projects.
